Recruitment

Always wanted to work in a crafty environment? Well here is your chance.  We are currently recruiting for the following posts:

Freelance Quilting Tutor

We are looking to recruit an experienced quilter to run regular 1-day intensive beginners quilting courses (Full details of the course content will be provided to you and agreed upon together).  A teaching qualification and/or previous teaching experience is not essential but your skill and experience must demonstrate a good knowledge of quilting styles and techniques as well as the ability to assist with sewing machine issues etc.  You will need a good sense of humour and the ability to drink lots of tea and will be expected to share and promote BTHQ and it’s classes to all your pupils.  All tools and machinery will be provided.  These sessions will take place approx once every 6 weeks at a weekend and once mid-week.  You will also be required to teach ad-hoc sessions on particular techniques throughout the year.  There is also a possibility of a fortnightly quilting club but this will depend on your availability.  Hourly rates are negotiable in line with current market rates and you will be expected to invoice for your time and be responsible for your own tax & national insurance.
