Description
This is an online video tutorial with printable PDF instruction sheet. We will show you how to draft your own pattern according to your height and arm length. These garments are made on an overlocker but can be made on a sewing machine (although we won’t lie it can be slightly fiddly).
You will need a piece of chiffon or similarly floaty silk (ideally one that does not have too obvious a right side or wrong side) that measures at least 1metre by 140cm. This will make a waist-length/bottom skimming cover-up. If you require a longer calf length garment you will want to increase the meterage by 0.5/1 metre depending on your chosen length.
We suggest watching the video before choosing fabric, although this is an ideal stash buster and they are totally addictive so we can be pretty sure you will get the chance to experiment in their production!

Thank you Claire for a great lesson you are so knowledgable and made it easy for me to have my first try on an Overlocker- I think that will be my next big purchase! At the end I’d made a lovely kimono which I love and could now make one on my own following your instructions. Thank you once again!
