With a front slot large enough for your favourite story and a fully lined removable cover that can be chucked it in the wash whenever it’s in need of a clean.
Why not make them in your favourite storybook fabrics and add a matching book for a gift to last a lifetime?
In fact, if you take this class with us, our friends at the lovely Chicken & Frog Children’s Bookshop in Brentwood would like to offer you a 10% discount on any book to go along with your cushion! Simply get in touch with them via email, phone or social media and tell them that we sent you.
Pupils of this class will need 1 metre of patterned 100% cotton fabric and 1 metre of plain coloured 100% cotton fabric.
Ideally, these cushion do up with KAM snaps and this is what we will demonstrate in the class. You may wish to purchase yourself a starter set of KAM snaps. You can buy these from our Amazon Store (please note these are affiliate links and will not cost you any more to purchase but we will earn a small commission). If not then you can sew in button-holes, stitch on velcro or hand stitch on poppers at a later date to secure your cover.
We ask that you are set up for the class in plenty of time, with your machine threaded in a colour that you would like to sew your topstitching with. Your iron is set up and you have an area that you can cut out and sew with your laptop or ipad visible. You will need to download Zoom Cloud Meetings to your device in advance and will be sent an invite as part of your confirmation.
We will send you a cutting out guide ahead of class so that you can cut out your fabric beforehand.
When it is time for your class to start simply click the link in your invitation and join your fellow pupils.
This class is limited to 10 pupils
(We actively encourage you to make more of these cushions for personal use but ask that if you make them to sell you credit the pattern and Beautiful Things on any literature or advertising)
