Our Llamas GlamourLlama and Lari literally came to life while we were making them and there was a lot of laughter in the studio during their creation. What made it even more fun was the photoshoot we did with them on the farm we are located on. We enjoyed a fabulous half an hour in the fields whilst the sun shone and the two creatures got to know each other a little better!
Sewing machines and thread are provided for you on this course, but we ask that you bring along a bag of polyester toy filling, 1 metre of faux fur in the colour of your choice and a fat quarter of patchwork cotton if you want to make your llama a rug or give them colourful ears like Lari. You can also bring any trim you think might look good as a collar or lead or to add to their rugs.
Whilst this class is not a hard class by any means, we do advise you have had a little go on a sewing machine recently. There are a few tricky areas and a little bit of hand sewing (Nothing too taxing though, we managed it)!
Please note – You will be working from templates during the class but will be given details of the pattern should you wish to purchase it for future use. (We have had permission to teach the class from the pattern writer but she has asked that you purchase your own copy should you wish to make more. It is available for $8 as a digital download from a US supplier. We have a 35% discount for you though which we will happily pass on to all pupils).
Please note – as this class falls within May Half Term youngsters over the age of 12 who are confident in using a sewing machine may also attend if accompanied by a full paying adult. You will both need a ticket.
