Whether you have a manual machine or a computerised machine, buttonholes can be fiddly things.
Quite often we assume we don’t even need to know how to do them if we are not likely to make a shirt or a blouse!
But buttonholes can be really useful. Use them to reinforce and opening on a drawstring bag, or do up the back of a loose cushion cover. You can even use them as fastenings on bags, purses and pouches.
Don’t be scared of buttonholes. Come along to this Live ZOOM session. and follow along with Claire. You can sit at your machine and join in, or just watch and try later. You will need access to the ZOOM cloud meetings ap and we recommend you watch via tablet or laptop for an optimum view. If you are joining in, please make sure your machine is threaded with matching top and bottom threads and you have some scraps of fabric and a marking tool to hand. You will also need a button. The link for ZOOM will be sent to you in a confirmation.
We will be using a computerised and a manual machine in the session so will cover both types of buttonhole. The session will just last an hour but you will have access to the recording so that you can watch and join in later should you wish.
(If you are a PLATINUM member of our sewing club then you will have access to this LIVE session and receive a recording in your portal. You do not need to book online to join us, but please follow the instructions in the portal)
