Claire loves to sew with Jersey and would love to teach you all her tips and tricks.
Together you will learn how to cut jersey and sew it together using a regular sewing machine.
We will make changes to the original pattern instructions to give the item a lovely professional looking finish, so you will also learn how to calculate neckbands and armbands during this class.
You will need to purchase the *Kielo Wrap dress pattern. We advise you to purchase this in printed form from the link or as a digital download from the Named Patterns website. If you purchase the download, please send the A0 copy file to a service such as Netprinter to get it printed in full size. Do not try to stick together an A4 PDF copy as it is not an easy task.
All pupils will need 3 metres of jersey fabric. *A cotton jersey is recommended if you have never sewn with jersey before. If you are a little more experienced lightweight cotton or viscose jersey can give you a slinkier look. We have 6 lovely cotton jersey prints available in the studio currently to buy if you would prefer to shop local.
*links marked with a star are affiliate links. The items will not cost you any more to purchase from but will earn Beautiful Things a small commission.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, you will have your own area to cut and sew in with access to your own tools, equipment and materials. Positioned a minimum of 2 metres away from other pupils. We ask you to bring a face covering to wear during demonstrations where social distancing at 2 metres may prove hard to achieve.
