Description
We start our adventure with a half day planning session. Claire will run through all of your options, you will be encouraged to make paper patterns and choose your fabrics and supplies from our shop.
We then go away for 2 weeks to gather together any further supplies and potentially get a head start on preparing a bit of fabric.
Re-grouping after Easter for 4 weeks of creation. You will be supported throughout the whole project by our team of fabulous tutors to create your own masterpeice.
As you will see by the pictures in the gallery there are so many possibilities and members of our sewing club have been creating these bags for the past 3 years. Each one with it’s own individual character.
You can insert all sorts of pockets, zipper pockets, bottle pockets, internal and external pockets, Snap closures, zip closures, quilt, patchwork or foam. The world is your oyster.
You need to purchase nothing at all for the course in advance but be aware that during the week 1 planning session we will be able to assist you in purchasing your materials from our shop or sourcing from your own stash.
Access to our online video tutorial will also be given to you following the course so that you can remember how to make each individual part of the bag again at a later date.
If you are questioning why you might want this bag then stop!! Many of our pupils use them as a day to day handbag, others as work bags, overnight bags and even baby bags. They have soooo much potential and can be anything you want them to be.
