This video tutorial has been created after Claire was asked by her clients to show how she sews a face mask (in ‘Claire speak’).
The pattern is not her own and is downloadable for free via the Craft Passion website. For the purposes of this video tutorial, Claire used pattern template 3 for a mask with filter pocket and nosewire. This is available in sizes 3-6/6-12/women/adult. There are also many other adaptations including the Jesse mask which can be sized for an even tighter fit.
If you are in possession of one of our pre-cut kits then, simply fire up your iron and sewing machine and let’s get sewing.
If you need to cut your own fabric then you will need to download the relevant pattern. Cut 2 lining pieces and 2 outer pieces (both mirrored) and 1 strip of 2″ wide fabric that must be cut on the bias to fit. Full details are available in the pattern as different length strips are recommended for different sizes.
Please do credit the Craft passion mask if you choose to share your makes on social media. The pattern is FREE of charge and you have only paid for access to the video tutorial either alongside your kit or as an add on.
