Welcome to our Festive free machine embroidery course. During this video tutorial you will learn how to create cute cards and gift tags using free machine embroidery and simple applique techniques.
(If you have not tried free machine embroidery before, or do not know how to set up your machine for this method, we strongly advise you to take our beginners course before trying this tutorial).
The materials you will need are as follows:
- Felt (for tags)
- Eyelets (for tags)
- Card blanks (for cards)
- Plain fabric for backgrounds (for cards)
- Scrap fabrics for applique
- Iron-on fusible double-sided sheet such as Bondaweb, Heat n Bond or Steam a Seam.
- Thread
- Double-sided sticky tape (for cards)
